UKDF Events

UKDF 2008

UK Design Forum 2008 was held Wednesday April 23rd - Thursday April 24th 2008 at the Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre in Fallowfield, Manchester.

The programme was based around the Grand Challenges in Microelectronic Design report from the Developing a Common Vision for UK Research in Microelectronic Design initiative. The programme includes links to many of the presentations.

UKDF 2007

UK Design Forum 2007 was held Wednesday April 25th - Thursday April 26th 2007 at the Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre in Fallowfield, Manchester.

The programme was the usual mix of current research and future opportunities. It also gives links to many of the presentations.

UKDF 2006

UK Design Forum 2006 was held on Thursday 6th - Friday 7th April 2006 at Chancellors, the University of Manchester's Conference Centre.

The programme considered collaboration and a number of technology areas (micro/nano/system). Copies of some of the presentations and some of the posters and details of attendees are available

UKDF 2005

UK Design Forum 2005 was held on Wednesday 13th April - Thursday 14th April 2005 at Chancellors, the University of Manchester's Conference Centre. The after dinner talk on the first evening was from Tony Sale (the man who organised the rebuilding of Colossus).

The theme of the workshop was complex system design. Copies of the presentations and some of the posters are available.

UKDF 2004

UK Design Forum 2004 was held on Tuesday April 27th - Wednesday April 28th 2004 at Chancellors, the University of Manchester's Conference Centre.

The programme addressed some new technologies and their effect on design, and the challenges that face the design community one year after the report from the House of Lords.

UKDF 2003

UK Design Forum 2003 was held on March 31st/April 1st 2003 at Chancellors, the University of Manchester's Conference Centre.

The agenda focused on exciting work in new technologies, the challenges that face the design community in the wake of the report from the House of Lords, design automation for key areas such as test and verification, and various issues facing SMEs.

A short report and PDF copies of the slides are now available.

The UK Design Forum 2002 was held on April 8th - 9th at the Weston Conference Centre, Manchester
